Long before the zombie apocalypse, Neil McInnes lived in the most dangerous and hopeless parts of the world as part of various United Nations initiatives. After a fall from grace withing the ranks of the Royal Air Force, Fight Lieutenant McInnes was sent to a small African nation in the midst of a bloody genocidal war.

Returning from what was to have been an "honorable defeat" McInnes finds himself the center of a media firestorm over a supposed threat he made to the newly recognized dictator of
M’Benda.
His hope of going home to his wife and daughter are in jeopardy and his only way to avoid deployment to the Balkans is to claim unfitness for duty.
